Specifications

32x40 Raw Sheet is uncut directly from the manufacturer and may not be exactly 32x40. It may be 1/16" undersize and up to 1/4" oversize, and not square.

This white, 1/16" thick papermat backing board is ideal for providing support for unframed artwork such as photos (matted in bag). It is buffered to acid free alkaline reserve of 3-5% and has a light cream colored bevel core. This papermat is a cost-effective backing or mounting board option for non-conservation applications, such as general decorative art.

If a primary backing for a framing is required we recommend foamcore backing instead of papermat backing board.

Also available cut-to-size.

Best packaging, ever!

I’m a long-time customer of Frame Destination, at least for 10 years or more. What is always amazing is how well the products are prepared for shipping and in all this time, I’ve never had an issue with hidden damage. This time was not an exception! For this project, full-size mat boards, 32x40, would be required, yet other places I’ve ordered full-size mat boards in the past, the corner-damage would make them unusable, at least 2-3 inches into the boards. But not with Frame Destination! They have tried-and-tested packaging that is nearly shipper-proof. Though they warn of dings, my shipment was nearly perfect and only a portion was dinged and only slightly at that! I wish other companies would package their products for shipment as well as Frame Destination!

Perfect - thank you, Larry - we'll send the positive feedback to our shipping department!
