Warning: Frame size equals the size of the frame’s components, for example, the glass, mat board, and backer board. We automatically cut the inside of our frames 1/8 inch larger to allow for size tolerances, components that are not truly square, and to prevent binding and warping with temperature changes.
Our matte metal picture frame in Profile 33 is available in solid Black. Each frame measures 3/16 inches wide by 1 inch tall and is constructed from high quality aluminum, making it strong and durable. Please note that the frames are cut approximately 1/8" larger to make sure that all framing materials, including mat board, glazing, and backing board, can fit properly in the frame. Custom and standard sizes available. Metal frames without contents may be shipped unassembled. Let us know if you have an assembly preference.
This is my second order with Frame Destination. Across those two orders, I've gotten like 8 items framed and I've been SO impressed with the quality of the frame, the custom sizing, and the anti-glare acrylic. My pieces look GREAT. This most recent order, I ordered a double mat (my first time ever ordering matting) and it was AWFUL. Just totally unevenly cut to the point that you couldn't even see the layered mat at all on one side and it was too big on the other. Just... BAD. So, I'd skip the matting. And get the rest.

Poor Fit
Reviewed on
I’ve ordered many frames over the years and have been pleased. The most recent order, though, was a fail. The corner brackets for the metal frames (10x15” n33) were slightly too large. I could not easily remove a side to use the frame. The sides were jammed together because the brackets were too large. I had to pry the corners apart with a screwdriver to remove the piece, which is not easy to do without ruining an aluminum frame. Fortunately, I had spare brackets from previous projects so I could reassemble the frame without using a hammer to force the parts together. I would have to think twice about ordering more frames from you all, and if another order arrived like this it would be the last.

Slow fulfillment

Took three weeks to fulfill & ship my order of a standard Nielsen frame (no mat). When I inquired after about two weeks I received a brusque answer. Feels like turn around slowed recently. I need to find a new reliable go-to frame source.

Frames great! Mats not so much!

Frames were precision cut and easy to build. Mats had a few nick’s in the beveled cuts. I was able to use but very disappointing.
Good luck in your new venture!

My only suggestion is for agents to follow up with easier online documents and support. Computer Interface should be tightened up.

After another place I was ordering from reduced its product offerings, I began searching for another source. I'm SO HAPPY I came across Frame Destination. Great selection, value, fast shipping and packing. I'm sorry I hadn't discovered you earlier but you will be my go to supplier from now on!
Highly recommend.

ditch the serial number on the glass
Reviewed on
The frames I ordered were high-quality in every way EXCEPT FOR the serial number on the glass. I didn't see it until the artwork was in the frame and had to un-frame the piece and try to figure out what to do. Then I noticed the numbers were on every sheet of glass that was. provided for every frame! I tried to rub it off but had no luck until a friend said to try again. This time, wearing a glove, I scratched off the numbers. Please be so kind as to alert your customers that they have to do this before they frame their pieces.
Response from Frame Destination
Thank you for your review Mary! I will also update our production team
about this as well. This glass comes to us from our vendor and we cut it to
the size ordered and then package.
You should be able to wipe this off with a soft rag and water as well.
Thanks again and reach out to us if you have any other questions we can
help with!
Have a wonderful day!

Amazing product and service
Reviewed on
I've already recommended you to multiple friends. The frame arrived in less than a week and is exactly what I had in mind. The frame, acrylic, mat, and backing, are all perfect, and the cost for a custom frame was quite reasonable! I think it would be more costly in time and money to have it done locally, and for sure would be lower quality.

Terrific Product and Experience
Reviewed on
Very happy with my new low profile frame kits! The frames are sturdy, unblemished, and easy to assemble with nicely fit corners. The hanging hardware is a better quality than most and supplies an ample length of wrapped wire. Mat boards are clean and smooth. The glazing is awesome: crystal clear, thick enough to prevent warping, and sturdy overall. I especially appreciate the option to choose the right glazing product to suit my project. Measurements are all correct too. Everything was safely and securely packaged. I'm thrilled I chose FD vs store bought frame supplies. I saved money AND achieved better results to showcase my art!
