About this item

Our metal profile 11 is a high-quality metal picture frame similar to the Nielsen Profile 12, though not as tall. Featuring a small 13/32-inch rabbet, this frame is ideal for smaller pieces.

If you need a taller metal frame you can check out metal frame profile 12.

Warning: Frame size equals the size of the frame’s components, for example, the glass, mat board, and backer board. We automatically cut the inside of our frames 1/8 inch larger to allow for size tolerances, components that are not truly square, and to prevent binding and warping with temperature changes.

The Profile 11 metal picture frame is available in Frosted Black, and is anodized for additional strength. We cut each frame approximately 1/8 inch larger to ensure that all framing materials, such as mat board, glazing, and backing board, fit properly within the frame. Due to the shallow depth of this profile's rabbet, it important to ensure that your framing materials are not thicker than 3/8". Corner hardware, spring clips and euro hangers are included with each frame moulding. Metal frames without contents may be shipped unassembled. Let us know if you have an assembly preference.

Nielsen 11 Metal Frame

After a rough start with sharp edges at all the corners requiring some sanding, the rest was easy. I’ve ordered 10 more frames, and I hope the edges are not sharp as the one in the first order.

Matt Black Nielsen 11 Metal Picture Frames

I use these frames for my black and white photographs. Together with a slight warm white matt and mount board, they set off the photo's whites and the contrast in the photos.

I ordered these ambitiously late. The kind folk at Frame Destination added a complimentary rush to my order to ensure I received them on time for my show. The frames themselves are gorgeous and the matts are flawless. I will be ordering again! Thank you thank you!

The products I have bought from FD have all been good, accurately cut and up to standard. One thing that sets FD apart is the shipping. In Alaska it is a regular occurrence to have to return very damaged packages, but FD’s packing and shipping are bombproof. Thanks.

Response from Frame Destination

Thank you for your review Richard! So happy everything arrived in great condition!

Profile 11 Frame—excellent value

Reviewed on

Metal section frames have been my goto framing material for quite some time. Frame Destination offers these perfectly cut Profile 11 frames and they are outstanding. Easy to assemble except when the original assembler shoves the metal springs so far back that they are hard to extract.

Response from Frame Destination

Thank you for your review Henry!
