The Nielsen profile 97, with a contemporary design and metallic finish, has a 1-inch width and 1/2-inch rabbet of 1/2-inch. The glazing is a 99% UV-filter glass, while the mat is an 8-ply double thick Crescent 100% Cotton RagMat in white. The mat board features museum-level archival protection. The visible mat borders are about 1-1/2 inches on all four sides. The window is cut 1/4-inch smaller, while most off-the-shelf diploma frames are cut 1/2-inch smaller.
