The Nielsen frame profile 97, which features a metallic finish, measures 1 inch wide and has a rabbet of 1/2-inch. The frame's included glazing is a 99% UV-filter glass. The mat board is a white Crescent 100% Cotton RagMat, which is 8-ply double thick and offers museum-grade archival protection. The visible mat borders on this frame are about 1-1/2 inches even on all four sides, and the window is cut 1/4-inch smaller than the diploma.
