Frame DestinationThe Nielsen 37 frame profile features a raised silver edge around a solid black base. The frame is 5/8-inch wide and 1-7/16 inches tall and has a rabbet of 3/4-inch. The glazing is a 99% UV-filter glass, while the archival mat board is 8-ply double thick White Crescent 100% Cotton RagMat, which offers museum-grade protection. The window is 1/4-inch smaller than the diploma; other, off-the-shelf frames for diplomas feature windows that are 1/2 inch smaller.
