Frame DestinationNielsen profile 97 is a metal frame with a metallic finish. It has a 1/2-inch rabbet and is nearly 1 inch wide. The glazing is glass with a 99% UV-filter, while the mat board is Crescent RagMat, an 8-ply double thick cotton mat that features museum-grade archival protection. The visible mat borders are about 1-1/2 inches even on all four sides. With this frame, the window is 1/4-inch smaller than the diploma; most off-the-shelf frames are cut 1/2-inch smaller.
