Lineco Japanese (Hayaku) Hinging Paper. 1" x 100 feet (2.5 cm x 30.48 m). Used for hinging a wide variety of art. Water activated acid free polymer adhesive that is reversible. Genuine Japanese paper is soft and pliable yet extremely strong. Paper is acid-free, lignin free and buffered to pH8.5. Adhesive dries strong and will not creep. Hayaku Hinging Paper has passed the PAT (Photo Activity Test).
Main Applications: Hinging art, limited edition prints, water colors and originals using archival mounting techniques such as the T-Hinge and the V-Hinge.
Japanese (Hayaku) Hinging Paper is also useful for repairing books or paper artifacts.
Directions for Use:
- Cut or tear to desired length
- Moisten the adhesive (use very little water) and test before using on art
- Apply 1/4 inch or less to the back of the art
To Remove:
- Apply a little water to the tape
- Wait for the water to penetrate the paper and release the adhesive
- Remove and clean up adhesive residue with water
